Butte Climbing + PAWS Event
August 30, 2008
Woo-hoo!
Still havin the time of my life here in Jackson with a ton of things to do
My pics tell most of the story, but in an effort to be brief (I gotta go to bed!) — life became a bowl of cherries right after I picked some off the tree! I got the SWEEEET studio log cabin right in town (right down the block from where I used to live!) & I move in the weekend after next! It’s so dang exciting! & my pal Sacre is going to build me a killer loft for my bed! I signed a lease until June 30th, so y’all know where to find me! So, unfortunately — no pics of the place yet, but soon
Staying with my friend Kenny has been nice, as the apartment complex is very clean & new. I took a ride on his beach cruiser (I want one now!) & hiked straight up “high school” butte on the outskirts of town. Then I ran down the switchbacks! The PAWS ‘Dawg Gone Country Concert” event tonight was fun – I got to eat dinner at a real chuckwagon & ate chucks of meat until my teeth were screaming for dental floss LOL.
Now it’s time for bed. Tomorrow is a big day! I work in the morning on a consulting project doing complex graphs (I love a challenge!) & then Lynn & her 2 girlfriends land in Jackson Hole in the afternoon! O yeah – & I have this coming week off! But we will be doing a ton of active things, so it will be farrrrr from relaxing — until of course Scotty gets us free passes to a spa in the vill! Cheers & happy holiday weekend y’all

6S Posting
August 29, 2008
Quick post! My friend Rob from NYC had a book published recently entitled, “6S” (it stands for 6 sentences). He will be doing a second book soon & some of the writings from the website will be selected for this next book. Check out my post & all of the comments I’ve gotten
It’s (Still) Summer!
August 24, 2008
OK! Lots of stuff going on . . .
Climbed Snow King at night & watched the meteor showers, finally went full-on downhill mountain bike riding with some guys from work in Black Canyon & did some hanging at Slide Lake with friends!
The dirty boy house was starting to cramp my style & I needed to move out ASAP, so now I am peacefully set-up at my friend Kenny’s new place. Kenny & I know each other from church. It’s great for now . . . I’m in the living room with my queen blow up bed + memory foam on top. It’s heaven! & let’s put it this way — his place is so clean, I would feel comfortable eating off the floor! It’s a bit farther from town, but it’s on the bus line – so it works for now until I find a place.
& places are definitely starting to open up. I have a fabulous lead on a log studio cabin in town, close to where I used to live. I’ll know TOMORROW @ 1pm my time if I can call that place my very own!
Anyway, I’m still working hard 5-6 days a week, between PAWS & the mountain bike company, but soon enough I will go back to working less than that (thank goodness, ’cause whew! I’m tired)! This weekend I relaxed a bit, but come Friday it gets hectic again! There is a PAWS country music concert event & then my girlfriend Lynn from NYC comes to town with her 2 girlfriends from Chicago on Saturday & we will PARRRRRRRTY for a whole week!

Pirate Party Fun
August 11, 2008
As always, I just love going out w.my girls in town to party!
So some pics are just random female-only outings
So, this past week I got the call to do more consulting work. They will need me sporadically until November which is awesome! The project took me almost 19 hours & it made my brain go to mush while doing the database management part of it, but it’s worth the $$!
I also had interview for “Adventure Coorespondent,” (sounds so cool!) – but there’s no pay involved . . . I am considering doing this as my MO would be the single woman angle & it would be fun
I’ve been house/pet sitting for almost a week now — for 2 dogs, a cat & a bird (& a hot tub!) for a week. It’s been great singing with & petting the birdy’s little head (Sweet Pea), running up & down Cashe Creek & Snow King with the dogs (Ally & Chance) & feeding tuna to/chatting with the big fat cat (Latoose). Life is pretty good here with full internet access, a fabulous view of the Teton range from every window of the condo, eating yummy ripe raspberries from the garden, cooking nice dinners for myself at night — & did I mention the hot tub???
& lastly, I went to a pirate party – argggggh! Fun! There were 300 people invited. I went with my friend Will & 2 of his girl friends & we all danced up a storm. Literally. There were thundershowers during parts of it! I drank rum & punch & regretted it in the A.M. when I had to be mountain biking by 8:30. Ah yes, the things we learn about alcohol . . . & never listen to ourselves the next time!
Anyway! All else is well, I’m looking forward to sleeping on Snow King tomorrow night to view the Perseid meteor shower. Getting up at 3am will be well worth it
& apartments are just starting to open up, just nothing that works for me yet! Keep your fingers crossed & stay tuned!
