Well, again I had a very full week of things to do!

I did a bike tour with a group of young teenage kids, which was a great time. On Wednesday, I took my first morning photography class (met at 5:30am) & got some great pics. They are in a separate folder on the pics page. Also, me & my neighbors didn’t have to work that day – so we set off to the Snake River Lodge & Spa for some chillin in the sun & spa (perk props go to Scotty)! Then it was off to meet my new galpal Georgia for some drinks at the 4 Seasons resort (we love to pretend we are on vacation here in JH)! Thursday was a PAWS event with Purina, which involved taking the chair lift up to the top of Snow King & walking back down to pick up poo & trash. That same evening, I met up with kids on retreat at my church to hike up Snow King. I ran all the way back down & beat some kids down that took the lift! & yes, my leg muscles are still screaming at me several days later . . .

Friday, I met up with my friend Bob at his studio & we had a FUNNY time recording my voice over demos. When that’s ready I’ll be sure to post here – it’s going to be RAD!! That night was the KHOL community radio shin-dig, in which I volunteered all night to help out. I worked the door with Crazy Tom, making funnies & checking IDs & giving stamps to people’s hands. I felt so important as the lady bouncer! & later I worked as a bartender when it started getting super crazy! It was a great time & we made a lot of money through donations :)

Saturday was a whole-nother ballgame. I was invited by Christina (my other neighbors girlfriend) to come last minute car camping with them & a group of 20 people. It was awesome! How can you go wrong with steaks & S’mores?! We all brought our mountain bikes too, so we could go for a ride in the morning – after eating a hearty egg & bacon breakfast. She then let me borrow her jeep so I could meet a group of kids on retreat at Jenny Lake. I was a bit tired after mountain biking, as I did wipe pretty hard on a steep part of the terrain where a tree root popped out & insisted I give it a big fat dirt kiss. Although dirt in the lip gloss happens to be an attractive trait for women here in JH LOL I full-on flipped over the handle bars – I wish I had a pic of THAT insanity! It’s quite amazing that I’m OK! Just a bit of a swollen ankle & a tender shoulder, no biggie! So, yeah — shortly I’ll get that medical insurance I keep talking about!

This morning rocked because I went into the radio station & recorded a live show with Crazy Tom. We had a great time for an hour playing music & talking about stuff. I’m going to work at PAWS today for a bit too, as this week is packed up with bike guiding work to do! & of course, partying into the night!

An another note, I have 7 days left in my place/shack . . . My friend Trae down the street is away until the 13th of July & said I could definitely stay at his place while he’s gone. So at least I have a place to stay, although – not necessarily a place to live yet! Marti & her 5 year old daughter Elle are coming this weekend, which should help keep my stress levels down for moving Mon/Tue of next week. I was also asked to do some mountain bike “teaching” — to a very wealthy woman that wants to be able to mountain bike with her kids. What a great way to earn money eh!?

Rock on y’all – happy summer!!

This past week was chock filled with things to do – one of them was an invite to hang out with a bunch of new girls for ladies night! We headed out to the Vil to the Mangy Moose Bar. It was a great time :) Saturday was a party at Cat’s house – she is celebrating moving out of her condo & camping out for the summer :P Then Sunday, I went for a solo ride through Grand Teton National Park & did a hike through the foothills while singing at the top of my lungs with my iPod (to keep the bears away)! I was definitely embarrassed several times by approaching hikers!!

I’m researching topics for my new radio shows & came across this funny video while Googling “Dating in Jackson Hole.” The video is called: Where the boys are – Jackson Hole! It looks like Scotty is in the part when the boys are doing shots, but he insists it’s not him LOL http://www.girlgetaways.com/media/0605_JacksonHole/index.html

Also, here is the article I wrote for PAWS: The truth about puppy mills (it’s a download) http://www.pawsofjh.org/resources/article.php Don’t read it unless you feel like wetting up your eyes a little bit.

That’s it for now – much more to come this week/weekend . . .
I’m going to the spa, checking out a voice over studio, the community radio station is having an event & I’m going up to Yellowstone National Park!

SOOOO much has happened in the past 2 weeks!
Where do I even begin . . .

First off, I have NOT moved at this point. The market here for rentals is tough. Still looking like crazy because I only have until the end of June to chill here in the old Snow King lift shack. But as I said earlier, I have great neighbors – so I won’t be out on the street. I may have to live with 3 (dirty, young) boys down the street if I don’t find anything by months end though. That will be a story in itself!! LOL

On a working note, I’ve been doing some cool stuff at PAWS. I wrote some radio spots, an article for the newsletter (about puppy mills, so sad!) & I’ve now become the photographer/writer for their RDOG program — “Tails of Success.” When they are printed, I’ll definitely post those for you to check it out! Also, it looks like my new radio show is finally forming. I’ll be doing a woman’s talk show, which I’ve named “Local Lady Talk” & the women I’ve met so far are totally digging that I’m going to be the host for the show! Last week I submitted a proposal to a NYC outdoor company for a 2009 trip to Yellowstone & the Tetons, which they loved & want me to be the guide for the trip next year! On Saturday, I did some rafting down the Snake River with Barker Ewing & went for free because I’m a mountain bike guide – ahhhh, the perks of the business!

I’ve also done several trips with the mountain bike company & totally love it! I’m going to be busy as heck this summer with that :P Ive been meeting a lot more peeps around town & it’s been great getting to know some new boys & girls! The other night I went out & decided to sing 2 songs off the cuff with a bluegrass band, it was totally rad LOL

This past weekend I was a volunteer for the Jackson Hole Film Festival & saw some great films. Movies about AIDS in Africa, 3 women that climbed 3 peaks in 3 weeks, women in Wyoming & even a Isreali film that was subtitled – all were awesome! I saw the Senior UN Official give a speech here in our tiny theatre & met some cool filmmakers. I also coughed up 112 bucks for the fabulous “World Party” & had a great time. I even met the lead singer of the band afterwards (did you think I wouldn’t)? LOL More importantly, I went to a panel about sports films & I met some famous boys (got pics!) in the snow ski/boarding business. Travis Rice is so popular (& cute! & blonde!) he even has a Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travis_Rice

So that’s it for now — check out all the pics at the link below, they are very fun!
& just wanted to close with an excerpt from my proposal, which says a bit about me :)

Rose’s experience with corporate America has been wide-ranging, and her resume tells that specific story. After a BA in Communications, an MS in Technological Systems Management and over thirteen years in the corporate world, her “cubicle life” suddenly became a thing of the past… Bravely leaving the life she always knew, she risked everything by selling it all and Rose dared to finally follow her dream to became an adventure travel guide. After guiding in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in 2007, she was compelled to make another serious shift in her life — from East coast residing to the beauty of mountain living. It was by far, the greatest move she ever made.
